obtain from Mr. Fung Wa Chun the explanation of the dis-

-crepancy referred to in paragraph 5 of my former Despatch

between the statements in his statutory declaration of the

17th. November, 1905, and in the Viceroy's Despatch to the

Consul-General of the 8th. February, 1906, as to the

interests in the coal at the date of the mortgage.
